General YA
These sites include a broad range of YA titles that are searchable or chronological.
YALSA's Best Books for Young Adults
Year by year guide to books for teens based on "proven or potential appeal" to teens. The lists are chronological by year, then alphabetical. Fiction and nonfiction are both included.
Includes articles, reviews, book discussion guides and more. Search by author or title, or use the "Coming Soon" tab to read about what teens will be asking for in a month.
Nominated by teens in the YALSA Galley project and voted on annually by teens nationwide, this is always a list of books to know.
Yearly lists for teens - in it's 80th year - has expanded from just books to include other media as well. The online version features clips of teens talking about their favorites.
Thematically Organized
These sites are organized by theme or genre and may or may not be searchable.
Reading Rants
Thematic lists with teen interests in mind. Mainly fiction, including quirky, edgy books. Updated regularly, and now a book too!

Serves a wide range of ages and interests, some lists rather outdated, but the new wiki element of the site may bode improvement on this. Use this site for read-alike lists, school assignments, unusual thematic requests.

Read On: Hennepin County Library
Up-to-date lists on a variety of topics. Useful also for its book reviews by teens. A relatively new portion of the site, Bookspace, features user-created lists similar to Amazon’s Listmania.

YALSA Popular Paperbacks for Young Adults
Selected yearly, the popular paperback lists include both fiction and nonfiction and are arranged by topic, not by publication year like YALSA’s other lists. Useful for high interest nonfiction, thematic and appeal based recreational reading.

Teen Books & Authors by the Skokie Public Library
Well organized and expansive collection of lists by theme & genre, as well as award winners and general recommendations. Includes both fiction and nonfiction.

A growing wiki of lists created by participants in a YALSA book discussion listserv. These lists are usually created in response to a participant's need for suggestions so they can be very timely and useful.

Some types of books are frequently requested by teens, their parents, or teachers, and are not always easy to spot in the general or thematically organized lists. Find lists for these types of requests here.

Not YA specific, but a useful database of series in order.
Young Adult Books in Series and Sequels
Reliably up-to-date and searchable by author, title, and series name, this is a great resource for the inevitable order of series questions.
Includes lots of soon-to-be-released material, but anything that is part of a series is noted with italics. Good way to keep up on high demand series titles.
